Brief description of the areas where you may want to serve.

Buildings and Grounds - The Buildings and Grounds Ministry is a service opportunity involving individuals who desire to help with hands-on building projects, landscaping, vehicle maintenance, safety and security procedures, or with setup and tear-down of special events. This ministry is vital especially for those who like to work behind the scenes with hands-on involvement and short-term projects.

Childrens Ministry - Children's ministries at Macland are divided into two areas: Preschool and Elementary.

Community Outreach - Macland is actively looking for ways to serve others in our community and around the world. Our food pantry is a part of storehouse ministries which is part of the Noonday Baptist Association and serves people in our community on a weekly basis. Periodically, special community outreach events are designed to care for people, with no strings attached.

Finance Team - The Finance and Offering Team helps with the counting of offerings and the development of the church budget and financial policies.

Guest Services- Guest Services includes various ministry opportunities (e.g. parking lot attendants, greeters, ushers, information center hosts, chair crews, refreshment greeters, and people who prepare refreshments) that help ensure that every person entering the church feels important and welcome, and that they are greeted and offered assistance as needed. These ministry opportunities include personally welcoming people or to work behind the scenes setting up chairs or preparing food.

Media Ministries - This ministry is designed for those have an interest in sound, video recording and editing, operating cameras during the services, lighting, or photography.

Office and Administration Team - The office team provides office support in various areas such as phone calling, mailing and various administrative jobs.

Sunday School or Discipleship - Sunday School is a time when groups get together to study God's Word, and Discipleship is very similar, but it generally focuses on a more practical level -- for instance FINANCES, FAMILY, RELATIONSHIPS, etc.

Student Community - Macland provides a safe place for students in grades 6-12.  Students meet on a weekly basis to worship, celebrate successes, share concerns, and learn from God's Word.

Teaching Opportunities - There are several opportunities for those who enjoy teaching or facilitating discussion on special topics. Training is also provided.

Van Ministry - The bus ministry provides people in our community with transportation to and from the church on Sundays, as well as around the facilities -- especially during inclement weather.

Worship Ministry - The messages of our culture most commonly present themselves in the form of music and visual media. The orchestra, choir, youth choirs, and special soloists and groups focus on using various talents to provide musical and visual enhancement for the weekend worship services. Various gift-based teams gather weekly to build one another up and to strengthen their skills as they prepare for worship celebrations.
