CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
At Belmont United Methodist Church, we believe one of our most important jobs is to minister to children and families. We believe God has a deep love for all of his children, young and old.

Children’s Ministry Vision Statement
Belmont United Methodist Church is committed to helping children follow Jesus Christ, grow in their love of God, and invite other children and families on the faith journey.
Children’s Ministry Philosophy StatementBelieving that today’s children are the foundation of the future, Belmont United Methodist Church accepts all children as God’s creation, welcomed by Jesus as unique in origin and special in abilities. All children will be taught the Bible and how to apply it to their lives.
Our weekly opportunities for children include Sunday School for all ages and a children's moment in both of ourservices, in which the children have a short sermon just for them. Nursery care is also available at both services for families with younger children.Services are at 8:30 and 11:00 and Sunday School is from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
*Pre-School (for Kids Pre-K & K)
*Lower Elementary (for Kids in Grades 1-3)
*Upper Elementary (for Kids in Grades 4-6)
We also have several seasonal events.
*In summer we have Vacation Bible School in late June. This is a very popular event. In recent years we have taken a look at some “Weird Animals” and God’s love for them and traveled back to “Hometown Nazareth” to live and learn as Jesus did as a child.
*We also have a summer program called “Live Free.” The program happens one day a week for six weeks in the summer and focuses on reading, healthy living, and having fun in the sun!
*In mid-fall we have our "Trunk or Treat". We have a large amount of games, hot chocolate, food truck, and of course, plenty of Trunks filled with Treats.
*During the early fall we have “Education Sunday,” where we celebrate our kids and our partnership with Belmont High School and Horace Mann School.
