Kid City Nursery
Our purpose, in Nursery and Children's Ministries, is to partner with your family and assist in the faith development of your child. Our goal is to provide a worshipful and
educational environment as we love and care for the children and families of
Newark Naz. Your child will learn about the love of Jesus through songs, story time, snack time, and play time during
his or her time with us.
Snack Policy
Infant Nursery:
The nursery provides Cheerios in
the infant class for snack each week.If
you bring a bottle or sippy cup for your child, the drinks (sippy cups or
bottles) need to be labeled with the child's name.
Toddler Nursery:
These three snacks are offered to the
Toddler Nursery:
- Goldfish Baked
Snack Crackers (Pepperidge Farm)
- Honey Maid
Grahams Honey Sticks/Bees
- Malt-O-Meal
Scooters/Cheerios (Toasted Whole Grain Oat Cereal)
If your child is unable to have
the snack provided due to allergies, please let your child's teacher know. Water is offered to the Toddlers during snack
time.If you bring a sippy cup for your
child, make sure the cup is labeled with your child's name.
Allergies
There is a form to complete in the
check-in room so that we can better know how to care for your child's
allergies.Your child will be given a
bracelet to wear that informs your child's teacher of his or her allergy.
Wellness
Policy
If your infant or toddler is
exhibiting any of the following symptoms or has any of the following diseases,
please DO NOT bring him or her to the nursery:
- Fever
of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater
- Runny
nose if associated with illness
- Vomiting
in the last 24 hours
- Diarrhea
in the last 24 hours
- Impetigo
- Chicken
Pox
- Measles
- Mumps
- Conjunctivitis
(pink eye)
If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he or she
must be on the drug for at least 24 hours before coming into the nursery.
Cry Policy
We understand that it is difficult
for some children to make the transition to the classroom. Therefore, we allow the child a 5 minute cry
time before we alert the parents. Your
child's number will be shown if you are needed to comfort your child.
Graduation
Policy
In order to graduate (or move
from the toddler room to the preschool ministry), your child must be at least
3 years old and fully potty trained (no pull-ups). Due to the limitations of our facility, the
children's area is a long way from the restrooms. This means that our children must be fully
prepared before moving downstairs.The
first Sunday of each month will be Move-up Sunday. This will help us accomplish two things:
1. It will allow our nursery volunteers to
say goodbye to children with whom they've bonded.
2. It will give our
preschool volunteers time to prepare for the arrival of new children. |
