Salvation
Simply put, salvation can be defined by this Scripture:
Mathew 22:34-40 (HCSB):
"When the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they came together in the same place. And one of them, an expert in the law, asked a question to test Him: "Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?"
He said to him, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments."
Loving the Lord God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all of our mind is the only way to be saved. We must put Christ first and continue to fight this spiritual battle between God, man and satan. God does not need to prove His love for us. We need to prove it to Him by:
1. Believing in Him. "For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. Anyone who believes in Him is not judged, but anyone who does not believe is already judged, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God." John 3:16-18. This means not only that we believe God exists, but rather that we believe in and trust in God's character, found in His Holy Word, the Holy Bible. His character being love.
2. Obeying Him. We not only put our faith in Him but we also obey Him. Jesus said: "If you love me, you will obey what I command." John 14:15, "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me." John 14:21, "Jesus replied, If anyone loves me, he will obey my teachings." John 14:23. This is loving God.
These two very important ingredients produce the food for life. By believing in Him and living for Him, you acknowledge Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Romans 5:8: "But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!"
If you have not yet asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and to come into your life, we encourage you to do so today. If you would like to talk with someone, please make sure to contact us at:

"Trust and Obey "
Text: John H. Sammis, 1846-1919
Music: Daniel B. Towner, 1850-1919
vs 1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
vs 2. Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
vs 3. But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
vs 4. Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we'll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
