Information Form

  • DATES: January 1-3, 2009. From 12:00 Noon on Thursday to about 3:00 P.M. Saturday.

  • AGE: Young people ages 13 through college age.

  • FEE: $25.00 per person which includes all meals and activities. Please return the fee along with your registration form.

  • REGISTRATION: To register for the Winter Youth Retreat:

    1. The registration form must be viewed/printed using Acrobat Reader which may be downloaded free from the internet. If you don't have it, download it now.

    2. Print a copy of the Registration Form using Acrobat Reader. This form also includes some information and the horseback riding release form.

    3. Fill out the registration form completely (be sure to sign and date the form).

    4. If you want to ride horses, fill out the horseback riding release form (be sure to have a parent/guardian sign it if you are under 18 years of age).

    5. Mail the forms and the $25.00 fee by Sunday, December 21, 2008 to:

  • PURPOSE: Our purpose is to worship the Lord, study His Word, and enjoy Christian fellowship together. We expect everyone to dress and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner.

  • THEME: "Our Adversary, the Devil" -- As believers, we are involved in a spiritual warfare each day of our lives. We have a powerful enemy--the Devil--whose sole purpose is to stand in opposition to the work of the Lord. Christian young people in particular are faced with subtle temptations that Satan uses to hinder their walk and keep them from effectively serving the Lord. This weekend we will study what the Scriptures teach about our enemy, Satan, including his origin, his purpose, his methods, and his destiny. We will focus on what you need to know to be able to "stand against the wiles of the devil."

  • ACTIVITIES: Activities will include horseback riding,  a hayride, hiking, indoor and outdoor games, including the big night game. You or your parents (if you are under 18) must sign a release form if you are going to go horseback riding. You will also need to bring jeans or long pants, a shirt that can be tucked in, and sturdy shoes appropriate for riding (No shorts or sandals!).

  • BRING: Bible, pencil, notebook, appropriate clothes including a warm jacket and gloves, twin sheets, blanket (or sleeping bag), pillow, towels, wash rags, toiletries, flashlight, and camera. Also, bring medical insurance information with you in case of emergency.

  • DO NOT BRING: pets, radios, TVs, CD or tape players, video games, secular books or magazines, alcoholic beverages, tobacco (in any form), illegal drugs, firearms, or fireworks.

  • LOCATION: The retreat will be held at Three Mountain Retreat which is about 7 miles outside of Clifton, Texas on FM 182. Take FM 219 southwest from Clifton about 7 miles to FM 182. Turn left on FM 182 and go about 1/2 mile. The entrance to Three Mountain Retreat is on the left. (Visit Three Mountain Retreat website to view a map).
