Tim Taylor, Lead Pastor

Growing up in nearby Durham, NC, Pastor Tim was able to return to the area when he accepted the lead pastor position at PowerLine in October 1999. He brought with him a wealth of ministerial experiences: youth pastor, children's pastor, singles' pastor, Christian education pastor, administrative pastor. Tim often jokes "I couldn't keep a steady job, so they kept switching me around until the found something I could do!"

He received the Doctor of Ministry degree from the Graduate Theological Foundation, an extension of Christ's College, Oxford (England). He also holds degrees from Liberty University and Trevecca Nazarene University.

Kathy works at LabCorp in Burlington, and serves as hostess for Newcomer's Cafe at PowerLine. The Taylors have two adult children: Leslie and Matt.

Pastor Tim and Kathy have served at PowerLine since 1999.

RJ Droese, Minister to Families & Youth

RJ grew up all over the Midwest and attended Olivet Nazarene University near Chicago, IL. It was there he met the love of his life, his wife Ang. In 1999 they graduated, got married, and moved to California for their first ministry assignment all in the same month. RJ was a youth pastor there for 6 years and their first daughter CJ was born there. Then they moved to the Kansas City area where RJ worked for the USA/Canada NYI office and for a Juvenile Detention Center and Ang was a Childrens Pastor. They lived there 3 years and their second daughter Taylor was born there. Now God has brought them to the other side of the country to Burlington where they hope to stay and raise these 2 little princesses. RJ enjoys watching the Chicago Cubs even though they break his heart every year and he gets a little too much into Fantasy Football.

Ang was born and raised in Arkansas but we dont hold that against her. After also attending Olivet Nazarene University, she was an elementary school teacher for 6 years and a Childrens Pastor for 3 years. When Taylor was born though, God put it on her heart to be a pastor to her own children first while they are still at home. So since they moved to Burlington she has been a full-time mom. Ang is addicted to scrapbooking and also gets a little too much into Fantasy Football.

Donna Wilkinson, Worship Director

Donna and Doug, her husband, are long time members of PowerLine. Donna assumed the Worship role in 2008 and has led wonderful worship times since! Donna is also employed at Laboratory Corporation of America as a Systems Analyst and Doug is employed at Liberty Health Care in Public Relations. The Wilkinsons have one child, Daisy, their Yellow Labrador who by the way, plays the piano, just like Momma Donna. Donna and Doug also lead an Adult Growth Group in their home on Sunday nights.
